Happy Day Lanterns and Moxie Fab Challenge

This card isn't one of my very favorites. You know how you have an idea in your head and it doesn't quite turn out how you expect or want when you're all through? Well that's what happened here, but I don't hate it. I'm just used to loving my cards, which is what happens about 95% of the time. I still think it's a fine card and it fits the Tuesday Trigger Challege over at Moxie Fab World. I was inspired by the lanterns. I had just bought this lantern set by Hero Arts and I thought what better time to ink it up. Enough gabbing, here's the card...

A short post for you today because I'm not feeling well, I have a migraine, so you get right to the good stuff. I hope you like this sunshiny card I have for you today. Whenever I look at it it just makes me feel like summer, blue skies, and warm breezes. You gotta love that! Without further ado...

Card Submission Rejects and Moxie Fab Challenge

I have a few cards for you today since it's been a little while since I posted anything. The first card is a card I made for my cousin-in-law and his wife because they just had their second baby, and as you can probably tell by the card it was a girl. They named her Kaila Joy, a very pretty name for a girl if you ask me. The second two cards were cards I submitted for publication and they got rejected, but they are so cute that I just couldn't give up on them. They fit the Card Style Fun and Cute Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. This challenge is open until August 2nd, so I encourage you to make a fun and cute card and enter yourself at MoxieFabWorld.com or email your cards to me and I'll pick one at random and post it on my blog. Now what you've all been waiting for, the cards...

Happy Drunken Retirement

My hubby had me make a retirement card for a super sweet gal he works with that I also know. I asked him what kind of things she likes so I knew what kind of retirement card to make and he said she loves to drink, specifically wine of any kind. Well, I didn't have any wine stamps (imagine that, I think I'll have to get some) so I had to settle on just booze of any kind and I remembered I had this mixed summer drink stamp. I figured if I was retiring after working my whole life I'd want to drink anything and everything, and I thought she probably wouldn't mind. I was right! :) She loved the card and I hope you will too...

First Post with a Card

Well, this is my first post with a photo of a card like I promised. Sorry it's been so long. This card I made for my friend's birthday. I love the combo of pink and brown together. You'll also notice that I use a lot of gingham cardstock as an accent. I love it! I can't get enough of it! It's like I'm addicted to it. I just think it's the cutest thing ever! Well, enough babbling here's what you all came for my very first posted card...
